After achieving his Bachelor´s Degree in Dental Medicine at Universidade Paulista (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and later specializing in Surgical Anatomy of the Face at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Dr. Daniel Simon´s 4-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was completed in Sao Paulo from 2001 to 2004. Thereafter, Dr. Simon completed a Fellowship in Belgium for the Department of Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery of the Eeuwfeestkliniek in Antwerp from 2005 to 2007, in which year he received his European DMD (Dental Medicine Degree) and corresponding Master’s Degree from Ghent University (Belgium).
Since then he has centered his specialization on Facial Feminization Surgery, developing new and pioneering techniques in this surgical field, in particular in the area of oral surgery and techniques for jaw and chin recontouring.
He is author and co-author of important medical publications in the field of Facial Feminization Surgery.

Dr. Daniel Simon is a full member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) since 2016, continuously supporting the association in the development of evidence-based medicine to promote high quality care for transgender individuals internationally.
