Schedule
Embark on a seamless surgical journey with Facialteam, where every detail is meticulously planned for your comfort and well-being. Below schedule is for a typical 13 day stay and essential information to ensure you are well-prepared and informed throughout your stay.
*Note: Depending on the date of your surgery and the procedures that will be performed your schedule will vary from below example schedule. A typical stay with Facialteam is between 11 and 14 night.
- Day 1 — Arrival and Preoperative Consultation
Arrival in Málaga or Barcelona Airport. As per your flight information, our welcoming drivers will assist with your luggage and transport you to your lodgings, ensuring a smooth start to your journey.
Analysis and Preoperative Consultation with the Doctors. On an empty stomach, attend the preoperative tests including blood analysis, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, and CT scan at the hospital. Subsequently, engage in a detailed consultation with the doctors at the Facialteam facilities. Our pick-up service ensures timely transportation between your lodgings and the hospital.
If your surgery takes place in Marbella, your journey will soon continue at Naghoi, our new recovery sanctuary. From your arrival, your coordinator will provide all the details to ensure that your transition from hospital to Naghoi is seamless, comfortable, and stress-free.
- Day 2 – 4 — Leisure Time
While awaiting the results of your preoperative tests, you’ll have free time to discover the beauty of your surroundings. Enjoy Marbella’s Old Town or explore Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia. Use these days to relax and prepare emotionally for the days ahead.
- Day 5 — Clexane Injection
Administer the Clexane injection, an important step in preparing your body for surgery.
You may choose to self-administer it or request assistance from our nursing staff.
- Day 6: — Day of the Surgery
Adhere to fasting for at least 8 hours prior to surgery and bring valid identification.
Our driver will pick you up and accompany you to the hospital for admission.- Surgery Experience: From admissions to anesthesia and recovery, your patient coordinator will remain by your side to ensure you’re comfortable and informed.
The surgical team, anesthesiologists, and nurses will provide attentive, professional care throughout your procedure.

- Day 7 — Room Visit
Our team will visit you in your hospital room to monitor your recovery, answer any questions, and ensure your comfort before discharge.
- Day 8 — Discharge from Hospital
Once approved by your surgeon, you will be discharged and transferred back to your accommodation. For patients in Marbella, this marks your arrival at Naghoi, Facialteam’s purpose-built recovery center.
At Naghoi, your healing continues in an environment designed exclusively for trans and gender-diverse patients —combining medical excellence, emotional care, and comfort.
You’ll be greeted by our dedicated nursing team and begin your personalized recovery plan, which includes daily check-ups, massages, and wellness treatments.
- Day 9 — Nurse Check-Up
In Marbella, daily nurse visits are included as part of the Naghoi experience, ensuring your healing process is progressing smoothly and that your wounds and medication schedule are closely monitored.
In Barcelona, your postoperative check-up will take place at the hospital.
- Day 10 – 12 Post Operative appointments
During these days, you’ll attend any required follow-up consultations at the hospital or within Naghoi’s medical facilities, as recommended by your surgeon.
These sessions ensure you’re healing correctly and include treatments such as lymphatic drainage, acupuncture, and personalized advice from our psychological team.
- Day 13 — Hair Transplant Washing
If you’ve had a hair transplant, our transportation service will take you to your appointment for the first washing of the transplant area, ensuring expert care and comfort throughout.
- Day 14: Suture Removal and Final Consultation
On your final day, sutures will be removed, followed by your postoperative consultation with your surgeons. Our drivers will handle your transfers, so you can focus solely on preparing for your journey home.
Before you leave, your surgeon will review your progress and show your before-and-after 3D images, celebrating your healing process. You’ll also have the chance to meet with our psychologists to reflect on your experience and prepare emotionally for your return home.

Healing is a journey, and we’re with you at every step. With treatments like hilotherapy and lymphatic drainage, coupled with psychological support, we ensure your recovery is quick and comfortable.
Emotional & Psychological Support
Undergoing surgery is as much an emotional journey as it is a physical one. During your stay in Marbella, Dana, our team psychologist, is available for sessions. We understand the importance of continuity in therapy, and while we recommend continuing with your usual therapy once back home, we offer “emergency sessions” when needed.
For our patients we conduct group meetings twice a week, providing a safe environment for patients to share feelings, emotions, and questions related to their surgery. Our proactive approach aims to prevent emotional challenges, but we’re always ready with coping techniques and advice when needed.
Immediate Post-Op Care
Upon completion of your surgery, our specialized staff in the recovery unit will monitor you. Depending on the procedure, patients may leave the same day or stay for 1 or 2 nights. Once deemed fit, you’ll be transferred to your room, where both the HC Hospital and Facialteam nurses will be available for periodic check-ins.
We offer a range of treatments to ensure your comfort, including;
- Hilotherapy. An advanced cooling mask is applied after surgery to accurately regulate the temperature of the skin and underlying tissues of the particular area.
- Lymphatic drainage massage
2 sessions of manual massage offered by our team of physiotherapists reinforced with ultrasound technology to boost the recovery process. - Acupuncture is offered by Lolo, our Clinical Neurophysiology & Medical Acupuncturist to to alleviate bruising, inflammation, pain and stress after FFS surgery.
- Psychological support is available after surgery. You can meet our psychologist Dana, during one of our group sessions.
Pain management is tailored to each patient, with standard medications like paracetamol and ibuprofen, adjusted based on individual needs.
Recovery & Aftercare
The days following your surgery are crucial so we provide 24-hour contact through the coordinator.
Specialized treatments like hilotherapy, acupuncture, and drainage massages by physiotherapists further aid in the healing process. Any potential complications are promptly evaluated by our nurse and/or surgeon, ensuring a personalized response tailored to your needs.
