3rd Gender-Affirming Health Forum in Melbourne: Connecting, Learning & Building Community

The Gender-Affirming Health Forum (GAHF) is an immersive, in-person event organized by Facialteam—a leading center in facial gender-affirming care. These forums have already taken place in London (Nov 2024) and Amsterdam, and now, the third edition is arriving in Australia. Held on Sunday, 23 November 2025, in Melbourne, this gathering extends an open, no-cost invitation to trans and gender-diverse (TGD) individuals, their families, allies, and professionals to learn, connect, and grow.
The Challenges of Navigating Health Services
Beginning to consider a gender transition can feel overwhelming. For many, the first steps are marked by uncertainty, fragmented information, and a lack of clear pathways. Healthcare systems often present barriers:
- Complex referral processes and long waiting times for consultations.
- Inconsistent access to affirming professionals who understand trans-specific needs.
- Information gaps about what medical and surgical options are available, and where to begin.
- Emotional strain for patients and their families, who may feel isolated or unsupported.
The Gender-Affirming Health Forum exists to help bridge this gap. By bringing together surgeons, healthcare providers, and advocates, it creates a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, gather resources, and connect with others who understand the journey.
Who Will Be Speaking?
While the full speaker list hasn’t been publicly released, attendees can expect presentations and engagement from Facialteam’s expert surgeons. Notably, Dr. Daniel Simon as well as representatives from Peach Clinics, the main sponsor of the event, will be sharing their know-how for people seeking to streamline their research on transition.
GAHF events are known for bringing together a diverse panel of specialists—including psychologists, allied healthcare providers, and advocates—as seen in the London edition, which featured a team of 13 experts including surgeons and community advocates.
