Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have botox after FFS Surgery?

Botox works by temporary weakening of certain muscles as it blocks the synaptic connection between the motor nerve and the muscle. In any case, Botox affects sensitive nerves which are the nerves more likely to be partially affected during FFS procedures. In our experience, Botox treatment does not affect the nerve recovery nor increase the potential
nerve damage during feminization surgery.

You could start botox treatment immediately after returning home, however, as its effects may be “camouflaged” by the postoperative inflammation, we recommend waiting until inflammation has mostly disappeared.
