A Typical Facial Feminization Schedule
Day 1 – 2: Arrival & Preops
The trip from Málaga airport (AGP) to Marbella takes around 40 – 60 minutes, prearranged round-trip for you with our select drivers (included in services). Transport for all your hospital appointments is also organized on your behalf for no additional fee.
Depending on your arrival time, you may come directly to the Hospital where your pre-operative consultation takes place. During this meeting with the surgeons you will confirm the treatment plan and discuss the procedures in fine detail. The patient coordinator will help you with the schedule during this week.
It may be helpful to buy some essentials before surgery. This will allow you to spend your post-operative time getting plenty of rest. It is very important that you do not eat or drink at least 8 hours before surgery. It is normal to be nervous before surgery, but try to take some time to relax.
Day 2 – 3: Surgery
You will meet with the surgeons prior to the surgery for pre-op planning. One hour before surgery, the patient coordinator will accompany you to Admissions. Immediately after surgery, a specially designed cooling mask is put on, with which you will spend the whole night. After a few hours in observation, the patient is transferred to their private room.
The postoperative stay in hospital is usually 1 to 2 nights, depending on the extent of the surgery and if you have a companion or not. The surgeons, nurses, anaesthesiologist and the patient coordinator will be visiting you routinely during your stay in the hospital.
Days 3 – 4
Leaving the hospital: If you come alone, you have the option of having a nurse escort accompany you back to the hotel. Our patients coordinators will make sure that nothing needed is missing to spend the night comfortably and safely.
Days 4 – 8
Check ups will be required to check your healing. You will always be only one phone call away, 24 hours a day, as we will lend you a Spanish mobile phone.
Days 9 – 13
Final check-up and departure: You will be evaluated by the surgeons prior to leaving. The nurse will remove any stitches or bandages remaining.
The patient coordinator will give you any authorizations and medical prescriptions needed and will confirm the time for your return to the airport.
