In our continuing search for excellence in the field of facial feminization, FACIALTEAM has developed the concept of feminization of the upper third of the face, which involves two areas that are fundamental to the visual identification of facial gender: the forehead and the hairline.
To achieve the best possible results, both areas must be treated as a single unit. From this point forward, the forehead region (forehead, nasal root, orbits and supraorbital ridge) must be approached taking the patient’s hairline shape into account. Only in this way can the most suitable treatment be selected according to each patient’s individual needs.
The forehead and orbital areas are one of the most revealing gender traits, being the frame of the eyes which determines if the individual has a masculine or feminine appearance. The reconstruction of these areas can feminize the features, giving the patient a softer look and sweeter expression
HOW IS THE FOREHEAD ACCESSED?
When accessing the forehead or frontonasal-orbital area (forehead, nasal root, orbits and supraorbital ridge) for reconstruction purposes, one of these two approaches can be used
Thanks to our experience, we have developed a surgical approach that eliminates the unsightly scar in the hairline but still permits the repositioning of the eyebrows in a more feminine and elevated position as well as natural lifting effect of the forehead
Our experience has led us to the conclusion that transforming the male hairline into a female shape, which is oval and lacks recession at the temples, cannot be achieved with only conventional surgical techniques
SURGICAL HAIRLINE LOWERING
Recommended only for patients with round hairline pattern (without any or with only mild recession at the temples) and a significant and disproportional higher implantation of the hairline towards the center
REDEFINITION OF THE HAIRLINE BY HAIR TRANSPLANTATION
